What is pharma logistics?
Pharma logistics, or pharmaceutical logistics, is the planning and movement of medicines from manufacturers to C&F agents, stockists, pharmacies and hospitals. It covers two very different kinds of freight: cold chain for products that need a controlled temperature, and ordinary dry freight for medicines that travel at room temperature. We handle road transport for the room temperature side.
What is a C&F agent in pharma?
A C&F (carrying and forwarding) agent holds a pharma company’s stock for a state or region. The agent receives cartons from the plant, stores them and dispatches them to stockists against their orders, usually on commission rather than buying the stock. We carry both of those legs: plant to C&F godown, and C&F godown to stockists.
Do you offer cold chain pharma transport?
No. We move pharma goods that travel at room temperature. We do not offer cold chain, refrigerated or temperature-controlled transport, so products that need cold chain logistics should go with a specialist carrier.
What kind of pharma consignments do you carry?
Sealed carton loads that need no temperature control in transit, moving between manufacturing units, C&F agents, stockists and retailers. Are you a pharma distributor?
No. We are a road transport company. We do not buy or sell medicines. Pharma distribution businesses, from C&F agents and stockists to pharma distributors in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, can book us to carry their sealed cartons on our own lorries and under our own LR.
Which areas do you cover?
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chennai, plus Tumakuru in Karnataka, from our branches in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Kadapa. That is 145 delivery locations in all. In Visakhapatnam, our branch at Auto Nagar, Gajuwaka is close to where most pharma companies in Vizag work, around Pharmacity at Parawada and Atchutapuram. How long does pharma delivery take?
From Vijayawada, it is 24 hours to Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Chennai, and 48 hours to Tirupati, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. From Hyderabad, it is 24 hours to Vijayawada, Guntur and Kurnool. From Visakhapatnam, it is 24 hours to Vijayawada, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram, and 48 hours to Tirupati. The rest of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana is covered within 72 hours. Bookings placed before 4:00 PM qualify for the next slot. Times are indicative and confirmed at booking, and the pin code check shows the time for your town.
Can you collect from our plant or C&F godown?
Yes. Door pickup and delivery is one of our core services. Add your pickup address when you request a pickup or a rate, and if you dispatch on fixed days we can plan pickups around them.
How is pharma part load freight charged?
You pay for the weight of your cartons on the lane they travel, not for a whole vehicle. We charge on actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is higher. Use the freight calculator for an indicative band, then ask your branch for a firm rate.
What if our dispatch is more than 3 tonnes?
Ask about our Speed Service. For loads above 3 tonnes we can send a dedicated vehicle from Vijayawada, Hyderabad or Visakhapatnam once the destination, vehicle and timing are agreed. Tell us the weight and our booking team will advise.
